Soil
The soils at Cougar Ridge are composed largely of Collayomi-Aiken-Whispering Complex. Included therein are a number of intricately mixed components including boulders, stones, gravels, brown reddish very gravely loam, reddish brown clay loam, reddish yellow gravelly loam and yellowish red very cobbly clay loam.
